November 8, 2002: As some of you know, I had computer troubles and had to get a new computer. Mirana has recieved her cash prize. The book has not been completed, so it has not been sent out for those who won copies. I have not forgotten. All those who are supposed to get copies of the book will still get copies when it is done. Books take a while.
I have stuck to my original schedule, which is to finish Dead Roses first, and then finish editing Smashing Kings. Both projects are taking longer than anticipated. Procrastination is part to blame, along with other issues. I had a tree fall on my house during some nasty storms that tore through central indiana in september. Damage was minimal, but I still had to remove a tree, remove a broken shed, and had guys do roof repairs. Some people lost their homes, so I am very lucky in that respect. And luckily my wife's favorite dog, which was outside during the storms, also survived without injury. Her dog, 'Scully', likes to hide under our shed when it rains. Well, Scully was under the shed when the tree fell. I didn't see it, but I'm guessing the tree leaned against the shed for a moment... and that moment gave Scully the opportunity to run. Seconds later, the tree smashed the shed into kindling, and then bounced off the roof of my house.
I'm a Cincinnati Bengals fan, but they haven't been a serious football team since the 1990 season. They did win this past weekend, bringing their record to 1 - 7. Go Bengals!! *sigh* I miss Boomer Esiason.
My wife still loves me even though I'm not a best selling author yet. Now I'm rambling. Check back soon!
