In 1998,
someone read my story, and said she imagined japanese animation
in her mind while she read it. I thought, great... pokemon. And
somewhat depressed, I buried it. In 2000, I told my friend Kalan
about one of my stories, and he said it sounded like anime. Again,
I thought... great. He recommended I watch a movie called "Ninja
Scroll."
Whoa...
And then he said, well... you should also probably watch "Ghost in the Shell." Since that time, I have watched DragonBallZ, GundamWing, Akira and a few other things. I wrote Smashing Doves before I'd ever seen DragonBallZ... which makes the entire world of anime that much more exciting for me.
It would be excellent to rewrite this story as a script for an anime movie... maybe like Cowboy Bebop meets Spaceballs meets X-Files. Before that, I would like it to be a comic book.
